1. Briefly describe your Consultis journey.
I joined the Consultis team in July 2018. I started my recruiting career in the IT industry but it had been several years of non-IT recruiting, so I was excited to get back to the industry that I enjoyed. The best thing about working at Consultis is the culture and team. I really enjoy working with the team that we have in the San Antonio office. Everyone in every office is included and ideas are valued.
2. What do you love most about your job?
I love to help people move their career/life forward. Whether it’s someone that wants a new position where they can spend more time with family, learn new technologies, become a manager or an opportunity to provide for the people they love. I love that I get to be there to assist in their journey.
3. What is your favorite thing to do in San Antonio?
As a former college basketball player, my favorite thing to do in San Antonio play in the basketball leagues. I also enjoy visiting all of the new vegan restaurants that we have here in San Antonio.
4. What is your top piece of advice for clients, candidates, or those who are new to the staffing industry?
Relationships matter. Whether you are a client that uses staffing services to fulfill a need in your company or a candidate working with a recruiter to find a new position, working with someone that knows and understands exactly what you are looking for and why, is always ideal.
5. What has been your proudest moment at Consultis?
I am most proud that I came in and provided an immediate positive impact to the San Antonio office.
6. One piece of life or career advice I’d give to a mentee:
A wise man (high school basketball coach) once told me “Just keep shooting”. Often we let our missed shots (mistakes, failures, disappointments) keep us from taking our next shot. It’s important to learn from those misses, make adjustments and shoot again.
